Hello! My name is Jacky, I am 27 years old, and I own Full Circle Bakes! I started Full Circle Bakes after struggling with my mental health for many years. My business very quickly became my life's passion, and I still can't quite wrap my head around how different my life is now compared to when I first started the business!

As well as being autistic, I also have ADHD. So with all of the above in mind, I spend a lot of time advocating for the destigmatisation of mental illness, and raising awareness and acceptance for neurodivergence, in the many different forms in which it can present. 

I started Full Circle Bakes in the summer of 2019 - in between my first and second year of college, whilst I was also working as a chef/baker for a city centre coffee shop. A couple months after starting Full Circle Bakes, I decided to quit my job, and use Full Circle Bakes to support myself through my final year of college. I baked out of my parent's kitchen, and sold at markets once a month during my last year in college.

This went well until March 2020 happened... and suddenly all markets were cancelled! I had no other form of income to rely on, so it was a pretty rough time for a while. Once things had relaxed a little, I started baking from my parent's kitchen again. Initially, I tried selling local "Treat Boxes" where I would bake, package, and drive around delivering the boxes every week. This went well initially, but after a month I was already struggling to sell more than one box a week.

So in June 2020, I decided to try giving postal orders a bash - which went really, really well. So much so that I ended up getting the keys to my own shop in the east end of Glasgow in January 2021! Initially we kept on doing postal orders, but things were getting too wild to run out of our very small shop - so I decided to switch things up again! So, on the 19th of June 2021, I opened our shopfront! And the rest, as they say, is history!
